This site is connected to other North Muskegon French students'
sites. It is a project to show some of the students' trip to France. I,
Steven Olsen, was one of those lucky people to go this last June 10th
to July 2nd. Others who didn't go have made sites with the lyrics of
famous French songs.This site is an epilogue of my trip through pictures
and captions. Without further ado, my trip to France.(The captions
will be in French and English)

This is us at the airport in Pittsburg. It's the
first day of our trip and our plane left early.
Thus, we were tired at first. But, after some time,
our moral rose. That's me in the red shirt. I don't
seem happy, but believe me, I was.
C’est nous à l’aéroport de Pittsburg. Nous sommes
the le premier jour de notre voyage et notre avion
est parti tôt. Donc, nous étions fatigués au début.
Mais, après du temps,notre humeur s’est élevée.
C’est moi en rouge. On dirait que je n’ai pas l’air
content, mais crois-moi, j’y étais.
Here is Notre Dame. Its construction started
in 1163 and stopped in 1345. The outside has
been cleaned recently and it is even more
beautiful than before. This cathedral is
famous for its flying buttresses and stained
glass. We were lucky in France because the
weather was nice nearly all of the three weeks.
Ici, nous avons Notre-Dame de Paris. La
construction de Notre Dame a commence en
1163 et s'est finie en 1345. Les franciliens
ont nettoyé l'éxterieur récemment et elle
est même plus belle qu'avant. Cette cathèdrale
est célèbre à cause de ses arcs-boutants et
son vitrail. On avait de la chance parce qu'il
faisait beau presque les trois semaines.
Narrow streets are very common in Paris.
This is a street in the famed Latin
Quarter. This quarter is famous because
of its artists and students. It's a normal
secne in Paris, a street filled with
people, some hotels, and some open-air
restaurants. We were eating in a restaurant
when I took this photo.
Les rues étroites sont courantes à Paris.
Cette rue se trouve dans "le quartier Latin".
Ce quartier est célèbre à cause de ses artistes
et étudiants. C'est une scène normal à Paris, une
rue remplie de monde, d'hôtels, et de restaurants
en plein air. Nouse mangions dans un restaurant
quand j'ai pris cette photo.
Here is the most famous museum in the
world. The building was a palace for the
king of France. Now, one can find all sorts
of artworks inside. Notably, the Mona Lisa.
In the middle, there is a pyramid designed
by I.M. Pei. Underneath, one buys his ticket
and one finds some stores.
C'est le plus célèbre musée dans le monde.
Le bâtiment était le palace pour le roi de
France. Maintenant, on peut trouver toutes
sort d'œuvres d'art dedans. Notamment, le Joconde.
Au milieu, il ya une pyramide de verre dessiné
par I.M. Pei. Sous la pyramide, on achète
son billet et on trouve des magasins.
One out of the three weeks, some French families
hosted us in thier houses. Here, we have the
house of my family. It is located in a Parisan
suburb called Cormeille-en-Parisis. The name
of my family is Gonthier. Everybody in the
family was friendly and understanding. There
was a mother, her son, and her daughter. I spent
most of my time with the daughter, Aurélie.
Une semaine sur trois, des familles françaises
nous ont accueillis. Ici, c'est la maison de ma
famille. Elle se trouve dans une banlieue Parisenne
qui s'appelle Cormeille-en-Parisis.Le nom de la famille est Gonthier. Tout le monde
dans la famille était genial et compréhensif. Il y avait la mère, son fils, et sa fille.
J'ai passé le plus part de temps avec la fille, Aurélie.
